NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

BOARD OF EDUCATION

MEYERSVILLE INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

August 21, 2007

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the Board of Education of the Meyersville Independent School District will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 7:10 p.m. in the Meyersville School Board Room.

*Items do not have to be taken in same order as shown on meeting notices.

The subjects to be discussed or considered or upon which any formal action may be taken are as follows:

1. Call to Order

2. Invocation and Pledge to Flags

3. Communications to the Board and Public Forum

4. Approve Budget Amendments

5. Adopt Final Amended Budget for 2006-2007

6. Approve Expenditures

7. Discuss Proposed Budget for 2007-2008

8. Adopt General Fund 199, Food Service Fund 240 and Technology Fund 411 of the 2007-

2008 Budget

9. Approve Information Exhibits for Title I Fund 211, Title II Fund 255, Title II Fund 262, Title V

Fund 269, REAP Fund 280 and Accelerated Fund 404 of the 2007-2008 Budget

10. Approve Certified Tax Value for 2007-2008

11. Discuss Tax Rate for 2007-2008

12. Adopt Maintenance and Operation Tax Rate for 2007-2008

13. Adopt Interest and Sinking Tax Rate for 2007-2008

14. Add Local Policy FNA as Recommended by TASB Policy Service-Second Reading

15. Adjourn the Meeting

If during the course of the meeting, any discussion of any item on the agenda should be held in closed session, the Board will convene in such a closed session in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act, Tex. Govt. Code 551.071 - 551.076
